Agentizing your PLM with BossAgents: the object model is the foundation
BOMs, work orders, process routes and quality records become objects agents can operate on — not reports, but executable assets.
What is the "object model"? How is it different from database tables?
The object model turns enterprise production data (BOMs, work orders, process routes, quality records, equipment) into relational, semantic objects that agents can read, reason over, and act on. A database table is just storage; the object model is enterprise assets that AI can operate on. Example: one utility customer turned 274 tables into 45,230 objects, valued at 8M CNY, and won a data-element innovation award.
Do we have to throw away our existing PLM system?
No. Two paths: standalone module deployment (run new scenarios on BossAgents), or agentizing the legacy system (keep your PLM, wire its data interfaces into the agent layer, and let agents take over processes incrementally). Your existing system becomes a data source, not a burden.
Can agents operate production processes directly?
Yes, with tiered permissions: agents can initiate approvals, generate work-order suggestions, trigger quality checks, and update object states. Critical actions (BOM changes, batch releases) keep a human-confirmation gate.
